The Sennheiser EK 2000 IEM BW X Portable Stereo In-Ear Monitor Receiver is a professional bodypack receiver for in-ear monitoring, designed for intensive use on stage and in broadcast applications. Its sturdy, all-metal housing ensures high durability and low weight, weighing approximately 200 g with batteries. Operates in the UHF BW range (626–698 MHz in Europe), with a selectable bandwidth of up to 75 MHz and support for up to 3,000 tunable frequencies in 25 kHz steps. It uses Adaptive-Diversity technology, in which the earphone cable acts as a second antenna, drastically reducing signal interruptions.

The audio system uses the proprietary HDX compander, ensuring an S/N ratio greater than 90 dB(A) and total harmonic distortion (THD) ≤ 0.9%. The stereo audio output provides up to 2 × 200 mW into 32 Ω, with a High Boost function (+8 dB at 80 kHz) and a limiter adjustable from –18 dB to –6 dB. The user has access to a convenient menu interface with a backlit graphic display, frequency scan function, IR synchronisation with the transmitter, 4-stage battery status indicator, stereo/focus mode, adjustable balance and automatic setting lock. It is powered by two AA batteries or an Accupack BA 2015, offering approximately 4–6 hours of battery life (up to 10 hours according to some sources) depending on the volume used. In summary, the EK 2000 IEM BW-X combines a robust construction, advanced RF reliability, high audio quality and practical user controls — a trusted solution for live monitoring professionals.
