The lens Zeiss Batis 2.8/18mm Sony E-mount is designed for full frame mirrorless cameras, however it can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 27mm.

Specifications

With an incredibly wide field of view, the Zeiss Batis 2.8/18mm Sony E-mount lens is an ultra-wide model, suitable for interior, architectural, landscape and astrophotography applications. Within Distagon’s optical design, this lens uses a number of aspherical and anomalous partial dispersion elements to significantly reduce color fringing, distortion and other aberrations to achieve crisp, clear and accurate color images. A floating element system is also employed for consistent performance across the focus range, and an enhanced ZEISS T * anti-reflective coating has been applied to reduce glare and ghosting for work in difficult lighting conditions.

The wide angle is designed for Sony E-mount full frame mirrorless cameras, however it can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 27mm.

The maximum bright f/2.8 aperture adapts to the available light conditions and is also ideal for the use of astronomical photography.
The ZEISS T * anti-reflective coating was applied to each surface of the lens to minimize reflections and provide greater contrast and color fidelity.
