At the same time, you can enjoy a wide angle view (84.1°) so more details of the environment can be included in the shot. It can create richer images with perspectives that no other lens can achieve. The ability to focus so closely allows for so many shooting possibilities. With Laowa Probe it is possible to reach a maximum magnification of 2:1, allowing you to portray really small insects and reveal details not visible to the naked eye. It is particularly useful for videographers because both the smallest details and the environment can be captured in a single shot. This wide-angle design also means greater depth of field at short distances. This is a great advantage for both studio and nature shots. The special design of the Laowa Venus Optics 24mm f/14 2X Macro Probe, with its 40cm long barrel, allows the optics to be brought very close to the subject while still remaining distant. Furthermore, the small diameter allows you to get into small spaces that would otherwise be inaccessible. Obtaining proper illumination of the subject is not always easy in macro photography. The Laowa Probe has a diameter of only 20mm, which leaves sufficient illumination on the subject. The Laowa 24mm also features an annular LED illuminator on the front of the lens for focus support. To make the lens even more versatile, the front of the barrel is waterproof, allowing shooting under water. This protection is also a shield against dust and fine sand. The Laowa 24mm f/14 has a circle of coverage compatible with 35mm Full Frame and Super35mm sensors.
