Specifications

Kupo KS-182 china ball with cable and plug consists of a paper lantern holder and lamp holder for creating soft, natural light and pleasant skin tones in film and video. The frame is made of quality 3/16″ (5 mm) steel with a chrome surface treatment and is interchangeable by removing the screw nuts if a different sized paper lantern holder is required. The rotatable steel ring allows easy control of the light output while the fabric or gel is attached. The spiral anti-slope upper cable gland is also equipped with a system that prevents the cable from coming loose when subjected to vibration. The 3C*14AWG (2.08 mm) cable measures 90 cm in length and is fitted with a standard Edison plug. The ceramic lamp holder is firmly attached to the round metal plate to prevent the bulb from swinging. The Kupo KS-182 has two 1/4″-20 and two 3/8″-16 threaded holes pre-drilled under the round plate and offers an excellent mounting solution through any socket fixture with 1/4″-20 or 3/8″-16 male thread. A 5/8″ (16 mm) pin with 3/8″-16 male thread is included. When using these lanterns for film and video, we recommend using them for photography. It is recommended never to leave them unattended due to the risk of fire.
