Kupo C-16 C-clamp for pipes 38-51mm is the same as the old C-clamp, but has a smaller 16 mm pin. The collar on top of the pin keeps it safe for light adjustments while the clamp knob is loosened. The safety wire is built in with the clamp for added security. The Kupo C-16 weighs 0,95kg and the maximum load is 100kg.
When using C-clamps, care must be taken not to over-tighten the pipe bolt that secures the clamp to the batten. If this bolt is over-tightened, it can easily hollow out or ‘puncture’ the batten, seriously affecting the strength of the batten. Just tighten it an extra half turn with the spanner.
