Eizo ColorEdge CS2740 26.9″ 4K-UHD IPS monitor for graphics, thanks to the high resolution of 3840 x 2160, offers a remarkable pixel density of 164 ppi. Pixelated images are definitely a thing of the past, and the viewing quality provides a congruous and reliable impression of the print result. The IPS panel offers a maximum brightness of 350 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. With the CS2740 monitor, movies and footage can be examined, assembled and edited with techniques such as color grading in full 4K UHD resolution. The LCD module offers an extremely wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and ensures stable and accurate color and contrast viewing. To take full advantage of the color spectrum of digital cameras, the monitor must possibly have a very large color space. A limited amount of color can otherwise compromise the accurate display of saturated tones on the monitor. The panel with IPS (Wide Gamut) technology offers a wide viewing angle of 178° and optimal visibility. The CS2740 color table (Look-Up-Table) handles 16-bit color depth and is capable of returning billions of colors. This greatly increases the number of colors to take advantage of while preventing any posterization or scaling effects (banding), alterations and loss of information in non-reproducible dark tones (clipping) or highly saturated areas. ColorEdge monitors are set up and ready to use immediately after startup. Each and every Eizo ColorEdge CS2740 26.9″ 4K-UHD IPS monitor for graphics is meticulously preset at the factory and the tonal curves of red, green and blue meticulously adjusted and adjusted. This unique calibration by EIZO allows the user to resort to the monitor’s preconfigured color spaces as soon as they take it out of the box. And thanks to the optimal factory setting, periodic calibrations prove to be extremely quick. Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology adjusts and neutralizes fluctuations in brightness and color, ensuring uniform colors that are stable over time, and provides the color matching essential for processing, correcting, and editing images in post-production.
To ensure corresponding and stable reproduction over time, it is absolutely essential to repeat calibration at regular intervals. ColorEdge monitors resort to hardware calibration for this purpose. Unlike software calibration, which makes use of the video card LUT and is less precise, hardware calibration creates not only a correction profile for the video card, but makes changes directly to the internal parameters of the monitor LUT (Look-Up-Table) color table. The result: images are represented flawlessly. Optimal calibration can only be achieved with a well-calibrated monitor. A software calibration is very laborious and requires in-depth knowledge of color management. ColorNavigator 7 calibration software enables calibration in 90 seconds (measured with MacBook Pro and EIZO EX4 probe) even for the least experienced user. And because the calibration is done through the monitor hardware, the image will have the same color match even after 5 years. EIZO offers optional HLG and PQ curves for the CS2740 as part of calibration with ColorNavigator. The optimized gamma curves make images more realistic than the DSP, just as the human eye perceives the real world. With multiple connectivity options: USB-C, HDMI and DisplayPort, the CS2740 monitor can be seamlessly integrated into both computer and HDMI player workflows. The CS2740 anti-reflective treatment minimizes annoying glare and reflections, returning extremely sharp content – without hunched shoulders, strained necks and stiff arms in front of the monitor – to work comfortably and efficiently. Ideal for photography, image editing and retouching, video editing, post-production and color grading, design, creation and illustration, textile and apparel industry.
