Eizo ColorEdge CG319X 31” monitor 4K DCI IPS for graphics – 149ppi is ideal for film post-production, photo editing and prepress and offers outstanding performance: large size and modern connectivity, built-in colorimeter, 4K resolution and 149 ppi pixel density, and color reproduction that takes advantage of 10 bits to reproduce an extremely rich and accurate color gamut. Eizo CG319X features a resolution of 4096 x 2160 (4K DCI) DCI-4K, four times higher than Full HD (1920 x 1080). The monitor is perfectly suited for 2D and 3D-CGI video editing or for creating visual effects compositing and color grading. Fogra has awarded the ColorEdge CG319X monitor the “Fogra-Cert Softproofing System” certification (which is based on the ISO 12646 standard) for its performance regarding display and monitor homogeneity in color proofing. Rely on a certified monitor that ensures maximum consistency. With a native resolution of 4096 x 2160 (4K DCI) pixels, a high contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a maximum brightness of 350 cd/m2, the monitor offers superior visual quality and extremely realistic sharpness: graphic elements and photos are displayed with absolute precision, outlines are distinct and accurate. The panel with IPS (Wide Gamut) technology offers a wide viewing angle of 178° and optimal visibility.
The monitor offers a wide color gamut with the ability to cover 98% of the DCI-P3 color space for authentic and defined rendering, with strong black levels and similarly supports the Rec. 2020 standard. In addition, the CG319X covers 99% of the Adobe RGB color space. RAW images can be converted to AdobeRGB format and returned absolutely consistently. Even for printing, the EIZO monitor offers significant advantages and covers almost the entire CMYK color space (such as, e.g., ISO Coated and U.S. Web Coated). This allows on-screen verification of the printing outcome, saving valuable time and additional costs for any color proofing. Eizo ColorEdge 31″ 4K DCI IPS graphics monitor, features two preset gamma curves for the HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and PQ (Perceptual Quantization) standard, which are used by broadcast and color correction systems and are very close to the natural way colors are perceived by the human visual system. Because of these capabilities, the monitor can be seamlessly integrated into the HDR post-production workflow.
Eizo CG319X True Black technology allows it to maintain highly contrasted dark tones even in dark environments by returning extremely saturated and intense colors. The CG series is specially equipped with a so-called Retardation Film that enables maximum intensity viewing of black levels even from extremely angled positions, without loss of quality. Thanks to the calibration probe, maximum color fidelity can be achieved. The sensor is perfectly matched in every aspect to the monitor and takes into account the surrounding brightness conditions by correlating them to the center and corners of the display surface to ensure perfectly uniform rendering across the entire screen. The sensor is integrated inside the cabinet and is placed on the screen only during the calibration operation, making the purchase of other external measuring devices unnecessary, and the color accuracy and fidelity remains constant in a lasting manner. The CG319X has an advanced sensor that enables really fast automatic calibration, continuing to work in noncolor-critical applications. Meanwhile, the monitor calibrates itself. The calibration probe requires little screen space and does not annoy. Calibration can be scheduled at set intervals, even when the computer is off or without being connected to the monitor. Good image processing is possible only on well-calibrated monitors. Normal software calibration is time-consuming and the user must possess a certain level of technical expertise.
10-bit color reproduction makes use of the 24-bit color chart and takes advantage of a rich color spectrum, far superior to an 8-bit monitor. Gradations are more accurate and transitions more refined. Important for postproduction: the extended grayscale is capable of representing more shades of gray from 6 to 14 percent. ColorEdge monitors are set up and ready to use right out of the box. Each individual ColorEdge CG319X monitor is carefully preset at the factory and the tonal curves of red, green and blue meticulously adjusted and adjusted. This unique calibration by EIZO allows the user to resort to the monitor preconfigured color spaces as soon as they take it out of the box. And thanks to the excellent factory setting, periodic calibrations prove to be extremely quick.
