Eizo ColorEdge CG2700X 27″ 4K UHD IPS monitor for graphics offers through its high resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) a remarkable pixel density of 164 ppi. Pixelated images are definitely a thing of the past, and the viewing quality provides a congruous and reliable impression of the print result. The IPS panel offers a maximum brightness of 500 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1450:1. With the CG2700X monitor, movies and footage can be reviewed, assembled and edited with techniques such as color grading in full 4K UHD resolution. The LCD module offers an extremely wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and ensures stable and accurate color and contrast viewing. To take full advantage of the color spectrum of digital cameras, the monitor must possibly have a very large color space. A limited amount of color can otherwise compromise the accurate display of saturated tones on the monitor. The CG2700X with IPS panel can cover the entire AdobeRGB space and almost the entire CMYK ISO-Coated V2 (99%) printing workspace, preserving the rich hues offered by modern cameras, without loss of information and simulating the printing result through the monitor (soft proof).
The CG2700X color table (Look-Up-Table) handles a 16-bit color depth and is capable of returning billions of colors. This greatly increases the number of colors to make use of while preventing any posterization or scaling effects (banding), alterations and loss of information in non-reproducible dark tones (clipping) or highly saturated areas. The CG2700X innovative True Black technology allows it to maintain highly contrasted dark tones even in dark environments by returning extremely saturated and intense colors. The CG series is specially equipped with a so-called Retardation Film that enables maximum intensity viewing of black levels even from extremely angled positions without loss of quality. Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology adjusts and neutralizes fluctuations in brightness and color, ensuring uniform colors that are stable over time and guarantees the color matching essential for processing, correcting and editing images in post-production.
Thanks to the calibration probe, maximum color fidelity can be achieved. The sensor is perfectly matched in every aspect to the monitor and takes into account the surrounding brightness conditions by correlating them to the center and corners of the display surface to ensure perfectly uniform rendering across the entire screen. The sensor is integrated inside the cabinet and is placed on the screen only during the calibration operation, making the purchase of other external measurement devices unnecessary, and the color accuracy and fidelity remains constant in a lasting manner. The CG2700X is equipped with an advanced sensor that enables really fast automatic calibration, continuing to work in noncolor-critical applications. Meanwhile, the monitor calibrates itself. The calibration probe requires little screen space and does not annoy. Calibration can be scheduled at set intervals, even when the computer is off or without being connected to the monitor. A conventional monitor takes about 30 minutes to stabilize brightness, chromaticity and tonal values. So users can be assured of stable parameters immediately after turning on the monitor. ColorEdge monitors are set up and ready to use immediately after startup. Each individual ColorEdge CG2700X monitor is preset with the utmost care at the factory and the tonal curves of red, green and blue meticulously adjusted and adjusted. This unique calibration by EIZO allows the user to resort to the monitor’s preconfigured color spaces as soon as they take it out of the box. And thanks to the excellent factory setting, periodic calibrations prove to be extremely quick.
