Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-310 A3+ Printer

The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-310 A3+ Printer is a professional A3+ photo printer designed for photographers, artists and demanding users who need gallery-quality prints in a compact environment. Its ink system is based on 10 LUCIA PRO II pigment cartridges, including a Transparent ‘Chroma Optimizer’ cartridge that evens out the glossiness of the paper and reduces the bronzing effect, improving colour rendering even on glossy papers. Thanks to the FINE print head with 7,680 nozzles (768 for each of the 10 colours), the PRO-310 guarantees a maximum resolution of up to 4,800 × 2,400 dpi, allowing for great precision in detail and tonal gradation. The minimum ink droplet volume is just 4 picolitres, contributing to fine, uniform printing. The printer supports paper sizes from A5 up to A3+, as well as custom sizes up to 1800 mm in length, making it suitable for panoramic prints. The top tray can hold up to 100 sheets of plain paper, while the manual feed allows you to use thicker paper or special media, up to 380 g/m² (equivalent to 0.6 mm thick) according to official specifications.

In terms of connectivity, the PRO-310 offers USB 2.0, Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and Wi-Fi, ensuring flexible connection options for both local networks and wireless printing. The control panel is a 3″ colour LCD display, which allows you to monitor ink levels, select the type of media and configure printing options intuitively. In terms of durability, LUCIA PRO II inks contain waxes that make them resistant to scratches and impacts, and are formulated to ensure long-term preservation of prints: according to Canon data, light stability is up to 200 years under indoor exposure conditions. In addition, the printer is equipped with a nozzle recovery system: if a nozzle is detected as clogged, other nozzles automatically compensate, reducing the need for cleaning cycles and minimising ink waste. Finally, the PRO-310 incorporates a skew correction mechanism during paper feed, which is useful for stabilising printing on thick or rough media. Its design is compact: with the trays retracted, it measures approximately 639 × 379 × 200 mm and weighs approximately 14.4 kg, making it more manageable than many larger models.
