This amount of data provides total freedom in color grading and post-production. If you are looking for fluidity, you can rely on 4K at 120 fps or push up to 180 fps in full HD for extreme slow-motion. The real “edge” for modern creators is the Open Gate mode: recording with the entire sensor area in 3:2, you can crop the same content in 16:9 for YouTube or 9:16 for social without sacrificing quality, all supported by Canon Log profiles for professional color control.
Surgical precision and pinpoint fluidity in all conditions
No matter how low the light is: thanks to the Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system (operating down to EV -6.5), the R6 V sees where the human eye struggles. The camera uses advanced algorithms to lock onto and track people, animals and vehicles, focusing on eyes, faces and bodies with disarming accuracy. The Register People Priority function even allows you to “instruct” the car to give priority to specific individuals in a crowd. Making everything perfect is the 5-axis IBIS stabilizer, which compensates up to 7.5 stops, allowing you to take home handheld shots so stable they look like they were shot on a gimbal.

For those who do not want to compromise during long work sessions, the Canon EOS R6 V introduces a state-of-the-art active cooling system. The integration of an internal fan and optimized ventilation grids enables efficient heat management, almost eliminating the risk of overheating. Whether you are shooting a documentary or a long event in high resolution, the camera keeps the temperature under control, ensuring total reliability from start to finish of the shoot.
