Canon CN-R 24mm T1.5 L F Cine Prime with RF-mount – metric scale in metres is a cinematography lens designed for professional filmmakers. This high-performance lens offers exceptional image quality and versatility. It harnesses the power of the RF mount with state-of-the-art optical performance, shallow depth of field and accurate colour reproduction, all in a compact and robust lens. The Canon CN-R 24mm T1.5 L F Cine Prime offers ultra-fast, real-time metadata capture, plus brand new features such as in-camera electronic distortion correction.
The lens boasts T-stops up to T1.5 with reduced depth of field. It can also be used on Super 35mm cameras with RF sensor for greater versatility. It meets the most demanding requirements of professional 4K, 8K and HDR productions and delivers exceptional sharpness with minimal focus breathing as well as authentic reproduction of warm colours and skin tones. With smooth and consistent focus adjustment up to 300 degrees, consistency in control position and front diameter, and a compact, robust and moisture-proof design, the lens offers a lightweight and uncompromising solution for professional productions. It can be used without the need for an adapter with Cinema EOS cameras equipped with an RF mount such as the EOS C70 and EOS R5 C. With a newly developed fixed ring design, the CN-R Cine Prime lens makes hand-held use more comfortable, intuitive and efficient.
High-speed RF coupling offers faster communication for advanced metadata support and extended features such as Dual Pixel Focus Guide technology, distortion correction and more. Reduced focus breathing allows the same angle of view to be maintained when changing the focus distance. The 11-blade aperture produces beautiful rays of light and a shallow depth of field. Consistency in dial position is perfect for 4K, 8K and HDR productions while fast T-stops allow you to shoot with absolute confidence in dimly lit environments and achieve a shallow depth of field. Phosphorescent indicators aid visibility in dark environments.
