UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G supports all SD, HD, and Ultra HD video standards up to 2160p60, with color precision up to 10 bit and real-time hardware color space conversion. It is compatible with DaVinci Resolve, Fusion, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Avid Media Composer, and is designed for broadcast control rooms, news production, and live productions requiring 12G-SDI capture and playback in a single compact device.
VFX Compositing with Fusion
UltraStudio Mini 12G is compatible with Fusion, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, so broadcast teams can create graphics and titles using the same tools as professional designers without having to learn new software. Fusion Studio, included for free in DaVinci Resolve, offers node-based VFX compositing with 2D and 3D environments. The Media Express software, included with the device, allows for capturing and playing back files to be loaded directly into Fusion, After Effects, or Photoshop.
Color accuracy and professional workflow
UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G plays back the most common video formats, including Apple ProRes, DNxHD, and 10-bit uncompressed video, ensuring flexibility in file management. 10-bit is the broadcast television standard, with color rendering four times more accurate than 8-bit: only uncompressed 10-bit video ensures pixel-for-pixel correspondence with the original source. This level of quality allows for generating green screen keys, flawless VFX compositions, and high-level color corrections.
Integrated RGBA and YUVA frame buffers
The two 12G-SDI outputs of UltraStudio Mini Replay 12G connect the device to live production switchers to overlay transparent graphics, thanks to integrated hardware support for RGBA and YUVA frame buffers. RGBA frames are automatically transcoded into 10-bit YUV 4:2:2:4 video on both fill and key outputs, which connect to the switcher to combine signals with live video. The key output ensures seamless integration of transparent elements, making the device ideal for broadcast graphics and stinger transitions.
Playback and color grading with DaVinci Resolve
UltraStudio Mini 12G is compatible with the most popular video software, allowing you to continue working with the tools you already use. It is ideal for using DaVinci Resolve as a color correction and editing solution for broadcast transmissions, but also supports other editing software like Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, and Premiere Pro, as well as visual effects tools like Fusion, After Effects, and Photoshop.
