The Blackmagic DeckLink IP 100G is a card for video capture and playback via IP network.
The Blackmagic DeckLink IP 100G is an advanced card designed for video capture and playback in broadcast environments using IP networks. This card offers support for the SMPTE ST2110 standard, a protocol that enables the transport of separate video, audio and data over an IP network, providing flexibility and quality in transmission. The DeckLink IP 100G features a 10GBASE-SFP+ connection for the transmission of uncompressed video content, with resolutions up to 1080p60, and also supports auxiliary audio and data over the same network. With its compatibility with SMPTE standards ST2110-20, ST2110-21, ST2110-30 and ST2110-40, this card is ideal for production environments that require precise and synchronised management of video and audio streams. A key feature of the DeckLink IP 100G is its ability to integrate seamlessly with existing IP-based workflows, without compromising performance. The device allows video, audio and metadata to be managed independently, providing greater efficiency and cost savings compared to SDI-based solutions. In addition, thanks to its flexible architecture, the card adapts to a wide range of professional software applications, such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro, offering the ability to work seamlessly in complex video production environments. The use of IP networking also enables secure management of video streams, protecting transmission from unauthorised access via an integrated firewall. In essence, the Blackmagic DeckLink IP 100G represents a powerful and reliable solution for those seeking to optimise their IP-based broadcast infrastructure, without sacrificing quality and compatibility with the industry’s most popular technologies.
DeckLink IP cards comply with the SMPTE ST2110 standard for IP video, which defines the transport, synchronisation and description of video, audio and auxiliary data in IP networks for broadcast. It also keeps video sources synchronised using the PTP protocol. DeckLink IP supports SMPTE-2110-20 for uncompressed video, SMPTE-2110-21 for traffic modes and times, SMPTE-2110-30 for audio and SMPTE-2110-40 for auxiliary data. The great advantage of the SMPTE 2110 standard is that audio, video and auxiliary data are transported in the network independently. In addition, DeckLink IP supports multicast, an extremely efficient method of distributing video, audio and data from a single source to various destinations.
To create broadcast graphics and titles with maximum creativity without having to learn from scratch, the ideal is to use the same tools as graphic designers. All DeckLink cards are compatible with Fusion, the VFX software integrated in DaVinci Resolve, and with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Fusion Studio is an advanced node-based visual effects compositing software with 2D and 3D working environments, hundreds of effects and more. The free version of Fusion is available for free within DaVinci Resolve! Using the included Blackmagic Media Express software, you can capture and play back video in files that can be uploaded to Fusion, After Effects or Photoshop.
All DeckLink boards include an SDK development package for Mac, Windows and Linux, which is free to download. With this SDK you can easily develop tailor-made solutions for your company or for selling to broadcasters! DeckLink SDK combines low-level hardware control for greater flexibility with high-level interfaces that are easier to use to perform routine tasks. Thousands of manufacturers and developers have already integrated Blackmagic DeckLink boards into their products, proving that the DeckLink SDK provides the solid foundation needed to develop broadcast-quality commercial solutions.
