Blackmagic 6K Pro Pocket Cinema Camera with Electronic Viewfinder (EVF)

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro with free Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) is even more complete and compact than the previous model. The 6K Pro has all the recording features, Super 35 sensor, dynamic range, buttons and ports of the previous model, and adds a number of important new features such as a tiltable 5-inch HDR touchscreen LCD with 1500 cd/m² brightness, a Pro EVF option, built-in ND clear/2/4/6-stop filters, two mini-XLR inputs, an accurate timecode clock, an NP-F570 L-series battery slot and an updated Gen 5 color space.

With a slightly larger form factor than the 6L, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro records the same resolutions of up to 50 fps 6144 x 3456 video, and retains the valuable Canon EF active mount, allowing users to take advantage of the wide range of EF/EF-S lenses available. The EF mount supports iris, autofocus and zoom functions using electronic communication when using compatible lenses. This camera can turn one frame into two by cropping a second shot from a frame, upscaling to 8K, or simply capturing rich, detailed movies with your favorite EF/EF-S lens. Updated Gen 5 internal color processing makes it easy to record 6K Pro, 6K and BMPCC 4K movies. Record using the internal CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots or via the full-size HDMI port to an optional ATEM Mini switcher for live streaming, or output via the USB Type-C port to capture longer clips to an external drive. Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro includes a DaVinci Resolve Studio license and supports Blackmagic Raw capture from the sensor. Using the Raw format with sensor metadata simplifies editing to fit any project and facilitates editing with DaVinci Resolve.

The compact 6K Pro retains the familiar controls and menu layout of the 6K model, such as ISO support up to 25,600, 13 stops of dynamic range, and 1920 x 1080 HDR monitor output. Professional audio support now includes two mini XLR inputs with +48V phantom power, a 3.5 mm stereo input, a mono speaker, a headphone output, and a built-in stereo microphone system. Other professional features include lens metadata support, 3D LUT application for both monitoring and recording, still image capture up to 21.2MP, and a multifunction handle that allows one-handed operation. Synchronize multiple cameras for a concert, event or other multi-camera shoot by connecting an external timecode generator to the 6K Pro’s internal timecode generator (accessible via the 3.5 mm audio port). Then save valuable time by using Resolve to automatically synchronize your multicamera footage in post-production.

In addition to the DaVinci Resolve Studio activation key, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro comes with a 30W power supply that offers simultaneous battery charging, an MP-F570 battery, a lens port cap, a belt, and the electronic viewfinder (EVF) for free.

The EVF is specifically designed to fit into the EVF slot on the 6K Pro and locks using a built-in M4 screw. When in use, it turns off the built-in touchscreen LCD display so that you do not accidentally change settings while using the EVF. The display provides a 1280 x 960 resolution image on its sharp micro-OLED display. The display provides a variety of overlays such as status, indicators, and settings in the blank areas above and below the camera image. It accepts input frame rates up to 60 fps and 24-bit RGB colors for clear image representation. Its glass diopter offers -4 to +4 adjustment, and the display also has a digital focus table. It can rotate up to 70° and a set of four eyecups is included and provides compact, medium, cinematic left eye and cinematic right eye configurations.
