Create professional SMPTE-2110 broadcast systems
Blackmagic 2110 IP converters are designed for integrating SDI devices into 2110 IP broadcast systems. For example, rack models can be installed in rack cabinets next to the devices whose conversion they perform. In the case of Blackmagic Studio cameras, Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G G3s and SmartView 4K G3s you can set up most of your SMPTE-2110 systems without the need for converters. Adding converters allows you to transform all your video equipment to SMPTE-2110 at low cost: just connect a Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter to live production switchers, disk recorders, streaming processors, cameras, TVs, and more.
Complies with the SMPTE-2110 standard for IP video
Blackmagic 2110 IP devices comply with the SMPTE-2110 standard for IP video, which defines transport, synchronization and description of 10-bit video, audio and auxiliary data in broadcast IP networks. They are also capable of resynchronizing SDI inputs with a common PTP clock or, alternatively, hooking external devices to the reference output, which is also generated by the PTP clock. Blackmagic 2110 IP products support SMPTE-2110-20 for uncompressed video, SMPTE-2110-21 for traffic mode and timing, SMPTE-2110-30 for audio, and SMPTE-2110-40 for auxiliary data.
12G-SDI multi-rate for SD, HD and Ultra HD
Blackmagic 2110 IP products, designed for high-end TV productions, also feature the latest 12G-SDI video connections, so you can connect to traditional broadcast devices by taking advantage of SDI and the new 2110 IP broadcast systems with the same product. The 12G-SDI connection is multi-rate, so with just one BNC connector you can connect to any HD or Ultra HD device. It supports 720p HD definition in 720p50 and 59.94p standards, interlaced 1080i HD standards in 1080i50 and 1080i59.94. Support for 1080p includes 1080p at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 and 60p.
