The Allen & Heath ME-U 10 port PoE hub for ME-1 and ME-500 mixers is a 10-port touring-grade PoE hub that can provide power and audio to multiple personal ME-1 and ME-500 mixers. 40 audio sources, plus channel naming and stereo link status, are automatically received from compatible Allen & Heath mixers and transmitted to connected ME-1 and ME-500 mixers. 16 audio sources are received from compatible Aviom A-Net 16 devices. The device incorporates 10 outputs with EtherCON locking connectors on the front panel for connection to ME-1 and ME-500 personal monitoring mixers using standard Cat5 cabling. The front panel outputs are capable of providing 15 W per output via PoE to power the directly connected ME-1 and ME-500 mixers. The device incorporates an input port on the front panel. The input port includes a removable digital input board to allow direct connection to dLive, SQ, Qu, GLD and iLive digital mixers, as well as Aviom A-Net 16 sources. The removable board must be able to provide 15w per output via PoE to directly power the ME-1 and ME-500 mixers. The removable board is equipped with a lockable RJ45 EtherCON connector. It comes with a standard input board to interface with dLive, SQ SLink, Qu and GLD dSnake, iLive ACE or Aviom A-Net. This card can be replaced with a MADI, Dante or Waves SG board to accept a digital feed of up to 40 sources from third-party systems. The device accepts M-DANTE, M-MADI and M-WAVES2 digital audio network cards to facilitate connection to third-party digital audio systems. The digital audio network card is plugged into the input port on the front panel. The device has an RJ45 socket to allow connection of a Windows or Apple computer for browser-based configuration. The device is suitable for freestanding or 19″ rack operation. The device mounts via the built-in 19″ rack mounts and should occupy 2U rack space. The device has a built-in power supply with on/off switch on the rear panel and can accept 100-240V AC via an IEC cable. The device has a maximum consumption of 250W. The recommended operating temperature for the device is between 5 and 35 degrees Celsius.
