The Allen & Heath AHM-64 64×64 channels digital matrix processor is an audio matrix processor for sound management and installation. It is designed for audio distribution, paging, conferencing, and speaker processing in a multitude of environments, including corporate, hospitality, education, event and multifunctional venues, retail, theaters, cruise ships, and sports facilities. The AHM-64 processor is complemented by an extensive ecosystem of remote audio expanders, remote controllers, interfaces, applications and software. A family of portable, rack- or wall-mountable audio expanders is available with a choice of Layer-2 or Dante transport protocols. The unit is a 2u rack-mountable digital matrix processor capable of handling 64 input channels and 64 output channels, all independently assigned. Allen & Heath AHM-64 will operate at a sampling rate of 96kHz and use FPGA technology for digital signal processing. System latency from analog input to output shall not exceed 1ms.
 
All input channels are configurable mono/stereo and have access to any local or remote input. Output channels are configurable as mono/stereo zones or as 2, 3 or 4-way crossover speaker processing outputs, and allow up to 64 mono zones/32 stereo zones, or any combination of zones and speaker processing outputs not exceeding 64 total channels. All input channels shall provide the following processing: Trim, Polarity, Gate, Insert point, 8-band parametric EQ, Compressor, Delay, and Automatic Microphone Mixing (AMM). All zones must provide the following processing: Source selector, insert point, 8-band parametric EQ, 28-band GEQ, compressor, delay, ambient noise compensation (ANC) and limiter. The 8-band parametric EQ provides selectable Bell, Constant Q, Shelving, LPF, HPF and Notch filter types per band. The unit has 12 balanced inputs on pluggable Phoenix terminal blocks. Each input has an independent +60 dB gain control, a -20 dB active PAD, and +48 V phantom power.
 
A local SLink Ethernet audio expansion port is present, which will support various Audio-over-Ethernet protocols and provide access to up to 128×128 I/O, as well as allow remote connection and control of Allen Heath preamplifiers, connected via a SLink Ethernet port. The unit is capable of saving 500 presets. Presets are named and a descriptive text entry is provided for each preset. In addition, a cross-fade of up to 20 seconds is available to be applied to any combination of inputs, zones, groups, input/zone crossover points, and zone/zone crossover points. Networkable, PoE-enabled remote controllers are available to complement the unit, including wall-mounted controllers in US and EU formats and desktop controllers with a minimum of 8 units. Allen & Heath AHM-64 has a built-in power supply that accepts AC mains voltages of 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 70W max via a 3-pin IEC male grounded C6 male connector mounted on the rear chassis.
