The Kupo KS-251K rigid mounting kit for Steadicam allows a Steadicam rig to be mounted on a 48~50 mm tube or Mitchell plate. It includes a machined anodised aluminium rectangular mounting plate with a stainless steel female block and two 1 1/4″-20 stainless steel T-handles 40 mm long. The other end of the mounting plate has 8 pre-drilled holes offering 5 rotation angles, while the double clamp allows the rigid mount to be attached to 48~50 mm tube. The clamp offers rigid mounting on both the left and right sides, allowing the operator to quickly change the set-up if necessary. A Mitchell adapter and a simple clamp are supplied to mount the Steadicam equipment to the rigid mounting plate with 2 x 1/4″-20 screws included. On the adapter there is a 3/8″-16 bolt knob that acts as a Mitchell key for quick pan adjustment if required.
