Profoto 201706 Replacement Convex Deflector for Beauty Dish

The Profoto 201706 replacement convex deflector is the original Profoto component designed for the Profoto Beauty Dish. In the international Profoto catalog it is listed as Profoto deflector plate beauty dish and is the item to order when the modifier’s internal deflector needs to be replaced. The beauty dish deflector performs a precise optical function. Mounted at the center of the modifier, it reflects the light emitted by the flash head inside the dish, resulting in softer edges and more directional, even light on the subject. For this reason it is a functional component and not simply a cosmetic accessory. The Profoto 201706 design is convex and is optimized for use with Profoto flat front lights. It is therefore intended for those using the Beauty Dish with Profoto flat front heads who need to restore the modifier’s original equipment without purchasing a new one, maintaining the configuration specified by the manufacturer. Code 201706: purchase of original Profoto beauty dish deflector, identified by the manufacturer code shown in the technical specifications table. Before ordering, verify that the modifier in use is the Profoto Beauty Dish and that the flash head is flat front type, so as to choose the correct replacement for your setup. The listing shows manufacturer code, type, declared compatibility, and design characteristics. For further details on compatibility with your Profoto lighting system, contact the Martcom team before purchase. Replacing the deflector allows you to restore the original optical behavior of the Beauty Dish when the component is lost or damaged. Code 201706 is the reference to specify when ordering and for service, so as to avoid identification errors among the various Profoto replacement parts for light modifiers.
