The Octa softbox Godox UL-BOX-Octa-90 90cm Quick Release with Bowens mount is a 90cm octagonal softbox with Bowens mount and Quick Release system that allows for quick opening and closing, ideal for dynamic photo shoots, portraits and video productions. The interior is lined with highly reflective silver material, which optimises light output, while the softbox is equipped with an internal diffuser and external diffuser to dampen hot spots and achieve more uniform lighting.
Also included are a honeycomb grid to control light spill and narrow the beam, and a deflector plate to achieve more contrasting light variations similar to those of a beauty dish. The Bowens S-type mount ensures compatibility with a wide range of studio flashes and LED lights that use this bayonet mount, allowing you to integrate this modifier into existing setups without having to purchase proprietary systems. The octagonal shape produces regular catchlights in the eyes in portraits, giving the light a more natural and enveloping quality than rectangular softboxes, especially when using double diffusers and grids.
In summary, the Godox UL‑BOX‑Octa‑90 combines soft light output, versatility thanks to its diffusers and grid, control over light dispersion, and the practicality of an umbrella-style mechanism with a standard Bowens mount, making it suitable for both studio and mobile shooting.
