The Sennheiser MEG 14 40 B gooseneck condenser microphone is a pre-polarised condenser microphone with an integrated KE 10 capsule and cardioid polar pattern, designed for conference applications and permanent installations. The 450 mm (≈ 17.7″) gooseneck design offers great flexibility and allows for precise positioning relative to the speaker.
The cardioid capsule ensures excellent directionality, while RF shielding prevents intermodulation interference caused by nearby wireless devices. The microphone has a nominal impedance of less than 100 Ω and a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 130 dB, providing dynamic robustness even in noisy environments.
The equivalent noise level is 26 dB(A) (and 37 dB according to CCIR 468-3), ensuring clear and transparent sound reproduction. Powered by 12–48 V phantom power, it has a current consumption of approximately 3 mA. The output is via a 3-pin male XLR connector.
