Sennheiser SK 6212 A5-A8 SK 6212 Portable digital transmitter for 6000-9000 series, A5-A8 band

The Sennheiser SK 6212 A5-A8 SK 6212 Portable digital transmitter for 6000-9000 series, A5-A8 band is an ultra-compact digital mini bodypack designed for professional performance in theatre, broadcast and live environments. Its compact size and weight of only 112 g – including battery and clip – ensure discreet and comfortable use. The robust metal housing, resistant to sweat and moisture, ensures reliability even in demanding conditions.
From a technical point of view, it operates in the 550 MHz to 638 MHz band with a switching bandwidth of up to 88 MHz. Stability is 5 ppm and tuning in 25 kHz steps allows for advanced operating precision. Transmission takes place in Long Range (LR) or Link Density (LD) digital mode, with SeDAC (also used in the Digital 9000 series) or SePAC codecs, and features rigorous AES 256 protection. The transmission is completely free of intermodulation, facilitating equidistant grid configuration to optimise the RF spectrum.

The transmitter is equipped with a BA 62 rechargeable battery that guarantees a typical operating time of 12 hours at 25 °C. The audio response ranges from 30 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), with LD mode extending up to 14 kHz. The microphone input is a 3-pin audio connector with adjustable gain in 3 dB steps from -6 dB to +42 dB; harmonic distortion is minimal (≈0.002%) and the signal-to-noise ratio is excellent (≈113dB(A)).
