The Sennheiser AVX MKE 2 Complete System with Pocket Transmitter, Omnidirectional Microphone, and Portable Receiver is a broadcast-quality digital wireless microphone system consisting of a bodypack transmitter, plug-on receiver, and MKE 2 omnidirectional lavalier microphone. The system operates in the 1.9 GHz free band with automatic digital transmission, managing frequency and RF levels adaptively — up to 250 mW, with a maximum range of ~30 m. Setup is instantaneous: simply connect P48 phantom power to the camera to automatically turn on the receiver. Audio output is 24-bit/48 kHz, with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, a dynamic range greater than 120 dB(A), and low latency of approximately 19 ms.
The MKE 2 microphone, with omnidirectional condenser capsule and “Umbrella” diaphragm, is designed for broadcast quality, ensuring a high PLR of up to 142 dB SPL and sensitivity of 5 mV/Pa.

The compact metal receiver plugs into the XLR, rotates up to 320°, and is powered by a Li-Ion battery (approx. 4 hours) or USB. The robust transmitter has a locking connector, battery/signal status display, and up to 15 hours of battery life with the BA 30 battery pack. The system supports up to 8 simultaneous sets and offers AES‑256 encryption for secure transmissions.
