The Profoto circular Edge Mask for Octa 4′ Softbox fits perfectly with the Profoto softbox series, especially the 4-foot Octa model, and serves to modify the light emission by creating a sharper and more precise effect on the edges of the light beam. Installation is quick and easy thanks to the integrated attachment system, which ensures a perfect fit to the edge of the softbox. This convenience makes it a versatile tool, which can be used in combination with other accessories such as grids or diffusers to achieve even more complex and refined light configurations.

The Edge Mask is made of high-quality, lightweight and durable materials, and its main function is to concentrate the emitted light, outlining it and reducing peripheral dispersion. This creates a more sculpted and defined light effect, ideal for separating subjects from the background and accentuating texture details. Compared to a standard softbox, the Edge Mask gives the light a softer fall and more obvious contrast, useful for emphasising lines and shapes, particularly in portraiture and fashion photography. In addition to its technical functionality, the design of the Profoto Edge Mask is also intended to be aesthetically compatible with the full range of Profoto accessories, ensuring a professional and coordinated look on set.
