Equipped with multiple microphones, Zoom H2essential multi-microphone handheld digital recorder adapts to any situation thanks to its simple and clear controls. You can choose the ideal directionality (mono, 90º or 120º stereo), select front or rear recording, and off you go! The H2essential offers 360° surround sound recording and allows you to record in MS Raw format if you want to adjust the stereo image width in post-production. The H2essential records at 32-bit Floating Point up to 96 Khz, offering high-quality audio without having to adjust gain. Connected to a PC, Mac, iOS or Android smartphone, the Zoom H2essential can be used as a USB microphone for podcasts, videos and live streaming while simultaneously recording to the SD card. Its full-colour LCD screen displays recorded waveforms in real time and allows easy navigation through menus localised in Italian. Blind creators will benefit from audio navigation, also in Italian. In the menus you will find many advanced features such as low-cut filter, pre-recording, automatic recording, playback speed adjustment, etc. The H2essential is equipped with a 3.5 mm mini-jack input that accepts external devices and lavalier microphones (PiP power supply provided). Optionally, the BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter allows remote control from an iOs smartphone and timecode synchronisation of one or more H2essential(s). The optional APH-2e accessory pack includes a new windscreen filter specially designed for H2essential.
Colour LCD display with waveform
The high-contrast 1.3-inch LCD screen makes it easy to navigate the H2essential’s simple interface. The real-time waveform display allows you to view audio while recording.
Sound design
Record audio for sound design with the front-facing stereo microphone to capture focused and detailed sounds. Add an external shotgun microphone to add directional pickup with reduced background noise.
The recorder for everyone
H2essential is designed with accessibility for the blind and visually impaired. In fact, it is possible to navigate the menu with audible descriptions via the built-in speaker or headphones. Creators can choose between English, Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Italian or Chinese.
