The Allen & Heath AHM-16 16×16 channels digital matrix processor is an audio matrix processor for sound management and installation. It is designed for audio distribution, paging, conferencing, and speaker processing in a multitude of environments, including corporate, hospitality, education, event and multifunctional venues, retail, theaters, cruise ships, and sports facilities. The AHM-16 processor is complemented by an extensive ecosystem of remote audio expanders, remote controllers, interfaces, applications and software. A family of portable, rack-mountable or wall-mounted audio expanders is available with a choice of transport protocols, and there is also a range of IP remote controllers for volume control, music source selection, preset recall, and more. AHM can also integrate with third-party devices via GPIO, TCP/IP or industry-standard control systems. Allen & Heath’s Custom Control editor and application offer additional control options and custom user interfaces for multiple users and device types, with kiosk and BYOD capabilities. The processor can handle 16 input channels and 16 output channels, all independently assigned. The 8-band parametric equalizer will provide selectable Bell, Constant Q, Shelving, LPF, HPF and Notch filter types per band.
 
Allen & Heath AHM-16 has 8 balanced inputs on pluggable Phoenix terminal blocks. Each input has independent +60 dB gain control, -20 dB active PAD and +48 V phantom. It also has a 128×128 I/O port for optional digital interface modules. An optional Dante module provides a minimum of 32×32 I/O at 96kHz and be compatible with AES67 and Dante Domain Manager. Also available is an optional SLink module for Ethernet audio expansion, which supports various Audio-over-Ethernet protocols and provides access to a maximum of 128×128 I/O. The unit is capable of saving 500 presets. In addition, a cross-fade of up to 20 seconds duration is available to be applied to any combination of inputs, zones, groups, input/zone and zone/zone crossover points. The unit shall allow the creation and storage of up to 4 user profiles, each with editable name and password. The unit shall allow the connection of two general-purpose inputs and two general-purpose relay outputs, via Phoenix connectors that can be plugged on the back of the chassis. Each input connector allows analog control of Mute, Levels, preset recall and custom MIDI via a 0-10V control signal. Allen & Heath AHM-16 shall be equipped with a built-in power supply that accepts AC mains voltages of 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 65W max via a 3-pin grounded IEC male connector mounted on the rear chassis.
