It includes a micro 4/3 lens mount, a 4K low-light performance sensor, and cinema color science. Despite its compact size, it offers the same features as a full-sized studio camera, with 12G-SDI and HDMI connections that allow for remote control of the built-in color corrector and lenses. It supports recording in Blackmagic RAW to USB drives.
Its small form factor makes it ideal for positioning in tight spaces and capturing unique angles. The magnesium alloy body is strong and durable, while the adjustable ISO and gain up to +36dB enable shooting in low-light conditions. Additionally, with support for affordable micro 4/3 lenses and remote control via Focus Demand and Zoom Demand, it offers broadcast-level precision.
Professional connections like HDMI and SDI ensure fast setup and camera control, while the tally light makes it easy to identify which camera is live. The intuitive Blackmagic OS interface and flexible power options (including the use of LP-E6 batteries) ensure ease of operation during live productions. It’s also compatible with various optional accessories for even greater control.

It supports up to 60 fps with a dynamic range of 13 stops, ideal for Ultra HD and small files optimised for editing.

It includes a USB-C port for direct recording to external disks and control via the network. The Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera offers various power supply options, including a DC 12V connector with safety lock and a power supply with 5 AC adapters. It also supports LP-E6 batteries for back-up power, rechargeable directly from the camera, and is V-battery compatible for extended sessions, ideal for locations without electrical outlets.
