Profoto 180mm honeycomb grid 20° for zoom reflector is an easy-to-use accessory designed to control light diffusion and add contrast and drama to the final image. In this regard, the key word is ‘control’. Adding a grid makes it easy to control and concentrate light in the desired spots, while limiting its dispersion in other areas of the image. It is simply a matter of adding control to light shaping.
In addition to the 180mm 20° honeycomb grid, grids with different types of light diffusion are available. In grids allowing light diffusion between 5° and 20° the centre and concentration of light can change considerably. You therefore have numerous options to shape the light and create the atmosphere you are looking for. You can make a portrait light more direct and characterful or even slightly more directional for a hair-centred shot.
