The new Atomos Shogun 7″ HDR monitor and 6K RAW recorder for DSLRs, mirrorless and cinema cameras features a 7-inch monitor that is easily visible even outdoors. Indoors, outdoors or anywhere you need critical, visible and immediate feedback on images. With a brightness of 2000 nits, it is ideal for checking HDR footage while still on set or play back recently captured shots on the same pristine screen to review or upload to the cloud. Capture RAW video from a wide range of DSLR, mirrorless and cinema cameras with SDI or HDMI connections. It features on-screen tools for focus, exposure, client LUTs and metadata. Shogun takes care of the workflow while you focus on creative ideas.
With Atomos Shogun, the quality of footage is even better with accurate framing and control of exposure and focus on a clear, bright screen. Atomos Shogun is suitable not only for recording uncompressed video via HDMI or SDI, but also for working with RAW formats and being able to stop/start recording from the camera itself. Shogun can capture RAW inputs up to 6K at 30fps and simultaneously output a standard video signal viewable via HDMI or SDI for devices that do not support RAW formats. With a versatile 7-inch SuperAtom IPS touchscreen for clear images and easy accessibility to AtomOS functions, Shogun now has a new operating system and user interface.
An important new feature of AtomOS 11 is EL Zone and ARRI colored exposure display, a powerful alternative to Atomos false color. It enables Atomos monitors to display consistent colored exposure across multiple monitors in a production pipeline. EL Zone is designed for camera operators, who can see the scene true and accurate dynamic range, colored in stops, directly from the camera. It is ideal for evaluating exposure in HDR and SDR productions. It is an established industry standard and is the best way to see colored exposure on a monitor. Record Assist is ideal for covering predetermined events when you need to be elsewhere. If you have multiple Shogun monitors you can record in multiple locations at once. It is also a safer way to cover dangerous locations without risk to you and your colleagues. Finally, it is perfect for wildlife filming.
The new Shogun line includes these codecs for free, so you can choose the ideal codec for your projects including Apple ProRes, Apple ProRes RAW, H.265, DNx (QuickTime), DNx (MXF). You can pair the new Shogun with a wide range of camcorders, DSLRs, mirrorless or film cameras. Choose the frame size, frame rate and codec best suited to your project and delivery requirements. Shogun also allows you to record HDMI RAW inputs up to 6K at 30fps and simultaneously stream standard YCC video via HDMI to non-RAW compatible devices. Shogun includes comprehensive monitoring tools to help you to achieve perfect composition and exposure in every shoot.
