With UltraStudio Express HD USB4, connection is made through a single computer port, which also provides power: no external power supply is required. In ingest workflows, Blackmagic UltraStudio Express HD for video capture accepts SDI and analog sources and handles all formats up to 1080p60 in full 10-bit YUV, or up to 1080p30 and 2K DCI in 12-bit RGB. For playback, it offers an HDMI output for monitoring on large TVs or projectors, and two SDI outputs for playing back content with fill and key signal. The device supports the main post-production codecs, including Apple ProRes, DNxHR, AVC-Intra, XDCAM, and HEVC, and is compatible with applications such as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Avid Media Composer.
