Specifications

The Hoya HD Mk II IRND1000 ND filter, 77 mm, is a neutral density filter designed for photography, video, and cinema work with 77 mm threaded lenses. With an ND 3.0 density, equal to 1000x, it reduces incoming light by 10 stops, allowing longer exposure times to achieve motion blur—especially in landscape photography—or to work with wider apertures even in bright ambient light, for better control over depth of field. The Hoya IRND1000 ND filter belongs to the HD Mk II series and uses ACCU-ND technology, developed to block infrared light. This limits rust-colored color casts caused by infrared light and maintains neutral color rendering in both photos and videos. According to the manufacturer, the technology effectively eliminates infrared light pollution from the final image. This Hoya ND1000 77 mm is made of optical glass with multiple anti-reflective coatings to reduce reflections and glare in intense light conditions, and includes hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings that resist salt water and fingerprints. The aluminum mount has a slim profile, useful for avoiding vignetting even with wide-angle lenses, and the front thread allows multiple filters to be stacked together. As a 10-stop ND filter, 77 mm, for long exposures, it is supplied in the original product box along with a protective case. The price of the ND1000 77 mm filter is listed on the Martcom product page.
