Specifications<\/div>\n
The Hoya HD Mk II IRND1000 72mm is a screw-in ND filter for lenses with a 72mm filter thread, designed for photographers and videomakers who need to reduce incoming light while maintaining neutral color rendering. The Hoya HD Mk II IRND1000 ND filter has an ND 3.0 density, equal to 1000x and a 10-stop light reduction: it allows for longer exposure times to achieve the motion blur effect typical of landscape photography, or wider apertures to control depth of field even in strong ambient light, for photography, video, and film production alike. The Hoya IRND1000 ND 3.0 version uses ACCU-ND technology, which blocks infrared light and prevents rust-colored tints in images. For those looking for a 10-stop ND filter with infrared control, the optical glass is treated with multiple anti-reflective coatings as well as hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings, which limit water spots and fingerprints and reduce the need for constant surface cleaning. The lightweight aluminum frame has a reduced thickness to limit the risk of vignetting with wide-angle lenses, while the front thread allows multiple filters to be stacked together. If you’re deciding where to buy the Hoya IRND1000, this page covers the technical specifications and included items for the 72mm model.<\/div>\n
