Specifications

The Sony VMCBNCU1B is a dedicated Timecode adapter cable that allows the Timecode signal to be input via the USB-C port on the Sony FX5 cinema camera. By connecting an external Timecode source with a BNC output, the cable allows you to precisely synchronize the FX5’s frames within multicamera productions that also involve models such as the FX6, Burano, VENICE, and FX9, ensuring consistency among the footage during editing.

The male USB-C connector plugs directly into the FX5 camera body, while the female BNC connector allows connection to Timecode generators, other cameras, or external audio recorders equipped with a standard BNC output. The cable does not require an external power source, as it draws the necessary power directly from the camera’s USB-C port.

With a compact length of about 20 cm, the VMCBNCU1B is designed for seamless integration into a camera rig, without adding unnecessary bulk to the setup. It is the ideal accessory for individual operators and crews working on multi-camera sets, Broadcast productions, documentaries, and film productions where Timecode synchronization across cameras is a fundamental requirement of the post-production workflow.
