Specifications

The Tamron 28-200mm F2.8-5.6 DI III RXD Sony E-mount – photographic lens is a zoom lens with a maximum brightness of F/2.8, offering excellent image quality at all focal lengths from 28mm wide angle to 200mm telephoto. On the optical scheme side, Tamron has made no compromises: numerous special lenses, comprising LD (Low Dispersion) and XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion) optical elements, minimise chromatic aberrations and contribute to consistently high quality over the entire image area. Despite its high focal length range and refined optical construction, the Tamron 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 is surprisingly light and compact. The innovative travel zoom is suitable for virtually any subject, from nature and architecture to portraits and snapshots.

It also covers the entire focal length range from 28mm wide-angle to 200mm telephoto. This allows a wide variety of scenes to be photographed, from sweeping panoramas to compressed telephoto shots or close-ups. With a length of 117mm and a weight of 575g, this travel zoom remains remarkably manoeuvrable and is easy to carry. At 28mm the minimum shooting distance is only 0.19m, at 200mm it is 0.80m. These values correspond to a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.1 and 1:3.8. With the Tamron 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 it is possible to achieve beautiful close-ups with pleasing background blurring.
