It features a 7-inch multilayer mineral woofer and a swivelling X-ART tweeter, handcrafted in Berlin. DSP-based voicing, equalisation and room correction options can be controlled remotely and in real time via the free downloadable A Control software, and upgradable firmware allows new filters and optimisations to be implemented throughout the life of the monitor. The DSP-based functionality of all A Series monitors can be controlled remotely and in real time via Ethernet using A Control. Made from a new glass fibre polymer compound, the HPS waveguide allows the X-ART tweeter to disperse sound in controlled space with consistency. The new A-Series cabinets are based on the legacy of ADAM Audio and in particular the AX Series.
