The R12 has 18 built-in FM synthesizer instruments. They can be played by connecting a MIDI keyboard via USB-C or programmed using the touchscreen. The R12 has super clean preamps, and you’ll love the way they sound. With two XLR/TRS inputs and 8 audio tracks, the R12 is perfect for recording everything from demos to ready-to-be-released songs. The R12 includes a send effects channel that offers reverb, chorus and delay with a dedicated effects return fader. For advanced tones, you can use presets and effects from Zoom’s Guitar Lab. The R12 also has a 3-channel pan and EQ for each track and a compressor on inputs 1 and 2.
The R12 provides up to 5 hours on four AA batteries, allowing you to take your production anywhere. In addition, you can use the R12 with the included AD-17 power adapter or a USB battery. With 150 pre-loaded drum loops in a variety of patterns and genres, the R12 offers a versatile rhythm section for any project. Add additional audio samples by importing files into your R12 via Micro SD card or USB flash drive. Use the R12 as a stereo audio interface with your favorite DAW or streaming platform, via USB-C. As a control surface, transport and fader controls make it easy to adjust and control the software during production.

Weight

827 g

Dimensions

25,6 × 15,8 × 6,1 cm

Input connectors

2 x XLR/TRS combo jacks (Balanced, XLR: 2 HOT / TRS: TIP HOT）

Output connectors

2 x TRS phone jacks (balanced)
1 x Stereo 3.5mm mini jack

Supported audio formats

44.1kHz, 16/24-bit, mono/stereo WAV

Sound effects

Reverb, Delay, Chorus, Guitar Lab presets

Power supply

4 x AA (alkaline, lithium or rechargeable NiMH)
ZOOM AC Adapter AD-17 (5V/1.0A)

Color

Black

What’s in the box

1 x R12 MultiTrak
1 x AD-17 AC Adapter
1 x USB Cable
1 x User manual

The Zoom R12 digital multitrack recorder and controller is an ultra-portable music production solution, ideal for those who are always on the move.

Zoom Recorders and Accessories

Zoom specialises in audio tools for creatives.
