Setting a new standard for versatility, this full-frame mirrorless camera features a newly developed 45MP CMOS sensor, which offers 8K raw video recording, 12 fps continuous shooting with a mechanical shutter, and is the first EOS camera to feature 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization. Beyond just resolution, the sensor also pairs with the refined DIGIC X image processor to usher in a new generation of Dual Pixel CMOS AF for quick, smooth, and intelligent focusing performance using 1053 selectable points that cover the entire field of view. This focusing system has also been updated to make use of Deep Learning technology for improved subject tracking as well as precise eye, face, and head-detection for both people and animals. Canon EOS R5 features sensitivity from ISO 100-51200, which can be expanded to ISO 102400, suits working in a variety of lighting conditions while quick continuous shooting up to 12 fps with a mechanical shutter, or silent 20 fps with an electronic shutter, and it is ideal for working with moving subjects. Complementing the imaging assets, the Canon EOS R5, while sporting a new design, also feels familiar to EOS 5-series users. An especially high-resolution 0.5″ 5.76m-dot electronic viewfinder provides a realistic 120 fps refresh rate while the 3.2″ rear touchscreen LCD monitor sports a vari-angle design to accommodate vlogging needs as well as benefit working from high and low angles. A top status LCD makes for an intuitive workflow and the camera also incorporates dual memory card slots—one CFexpress Type B, one SD UHS-II—along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity.

The photographic lens Canon 24-70mm F2.8 IS USM whith RF-mount is a versatile wide-angle to portrait-length lens characterized by its bright, advanced, and intuitive design. The constant f/2.8 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting conditions and also enables greater control over depth of field. The optical design incorporates a series of aspherical and Ultra-Low Dispersion elements, which greatly reduce a variety of aberrations throughout the zoom range in order to produce sharp and clear imagery. An Air Sphere Coating has also been applied to suppress flare and ghosting when working in strong lighting conditions. Balancing the distinguished optical assets is the Nano USM focus system, which delivers fast, nearly silent autofocus performance with full-time manual focus override. An Image Stabilizer also compensates for up to five stops of camera shake to help produce sharper handheld shots in difficult lighting conditions. A unique Control Ring is also integrated into the lens design for intuitive control over exposure settings from the lens itself. Additionally, this Canon 24-70mm F2.8 is weather-sealed and has a fluorine coating to protect the front and rear elements. This Canon 24-70mm F2.8 IS USM standard wide-angle to telephoto zoom lens is designed for use with full-frame Canon RF-mount mirrorless cameras.

Canon EOS R5

Weight

738 g (Body with battery and memory)

Dimensions

13,8 x 9,7 x 8,8 cm

Effective sensor size

36 x 24 mm

Lens mount

Canon RF

ISO sensitivity

100 to 51200 (Extended: 100 to 102400)

Video recording

Raw 12-Bit:
DCI 8K (8192 x 4320) at 23.976p/24.00p/25p/29.97p [2600 Mb/s]H.265 4:2:2 10-Bit:
DCI 8K (8192 x 4320) at 23.976p/24.00p/25p/29.97p [680 to 1300 Mb/s]
UHD 8K (7680 x 4320) at 23.976p/25p/29.97p [680 to 1300 Mb/s]
DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 23.976p/24.00p/25p/29.97p/59.94p/100p/119.88p [170 to 1880 Mb/s]
UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 23.976p/25p/29.97p/50p/59.94p/100p/119.88p [170 to 1880 Mb/s]
Full HD (1920 x 1080) at 23.976p/25p/29.97p/50p/59.94p [28 to 230 Mb/s]H.264 4:2:0 8-Bit:
DCI 8K (8192 x 4320) at 23.976p/24.00p/25p/29.97p [470 to 1300 Mb/s]
UHD 8K (7680 x 4320) at 23.976p/25p/29.97p [470 to 1300 Mb/s]
DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 23.976p/24.00p/25p/29.97p/50p/59.94p/100p/119.88p [120 to 1880 Mb/s]
UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 23.976p/25p/29.97p/50p/59.94p/100p/119.88p [120 to 1880 Mb/s]
Full HD (1920 x 1080) at 23.976p/25p/29.97p/50p/59.94p [12 to 180 Mb/s]

Connections

USB Type-C (USB 3.1)
HDMI D (Micro)
3.5mm Headphone
3.5mm Microphone

Power requirements

Compatible batteries
LP-E6NH Rechargeable

Operating temperature

0°C – +40°C

What’s in the box

1 x Canon EOS R5
1 x Canon RF 24-70mm F28 IS USM
1 x R-F-5 Camera Cap
1 x Strap ER-EOS R5
1 x Battery Charger LC-E6E
1 x LP-E6NH
1 x Battery Cover
1 x AC Cable
1 x IFC-100U cable + protection
1 x User Manual

Canon RF 24-70mm F28 IS USM

Weight

900 g

Length

125,7 mm

Focal length

24 –
