Specifications

The E-image BS-M80 Shield with Shotgun Microphone Windscreen is designed to provide an effective solution for outdoor audio recording, especially in windy or noisy environments. Made from high-quality plastic, this shield is lightweight and durable, ensuring long-lasting performance even under heavy use. Its structure is designed to fit shotgun microphones ranging from 7.3″ to 9.6″ (approximately 18.5–24.5 cm) in size, such as the Sony ECM-673 or Sennheiser MKH-8060, providing a secure and stable fit.

One of the distinguishing features of the BS-M80 is its ability to significantly reduce wind noise during recording. The “blimp” shape and sound-absorbing material help to minimize wind interference, allowing for clearer and more precise audio recording. In addition, the shield provides effective isolation from shock and vibration, minimizing unwanted noise caused by the microphone moving or accidental contact.

For installation, the Shield E-image BS-M80 features a 3/8″-16 threaded mount that is compatible with most standard boompoles, making it easy to set up and maintain stability while shooting. The ergonomic design and lightweight design make it easy to handle and carry, without compromising recording quality.
