The Sony FX6 Cinema Line full-frame camera captures images in near total darkness with an extended ISO range of up to 409600. The full-frame sensor, combined with innovations in light gathering, ensures unlimited shooting possibilities. Capture every detail of the scene with shallow depth of field and stunning bokeh for a truly cinematic style.
S-Cinetone colour is the default look of the FX6. Specially designed to meet the needs of contemporary content creators, with vibrant colours and natural skin tones, it produces instantly fresh and vivid images without grading, while retaining ample room for manoeuvre in post-production.
The full-frame, back-illuminated, 10,2 megapixel Exmor R™ CMOS image sensor offers excellent light-gathering capability. Its speed and dynamic range of more than 15 stops ensure superb image quality. The BIONZ XR image processor combines high-speed readout with enormous processing power. Its innovative design delivers high-quality images faster and improves the responsiveness of the camera interface.
At its base sensitivity of ISO 8004, the Sony FX6 Cinema Line offers optimal dynamic range for well-lit shots. The improved ISO 128004 sensitivity is designed for low-light, morning and evening shooting. FX6 offers an exceptional dynamic range of over 15 stops, even beyond the perception of the human eye in many conditions, allowing unbeatable creative freedom in colour grading and post-editing.
Wide-area AF utilises intelligent tracking and phase detection on the sensor for constant tracking. The hybrid AF system offers accurate focusing even when shooting at shallow depths of field and high frame rates of 120p in 4K. FX6 is equipped with Sony’s unique built-in variable neutral density electronic filter. The FX6’s electronic ND filter can be adjusted from 1/4 to 1/128 in linear mode or set to automatic. Ideal in variable environments – no need to change filters as lighting conditions change or to maintain depth of field.
