JVC (Japan Victor Company) is a Japanese consumer electronics company, founded in Yokohama in 1927. Historically controlled by Panasonic, the company is famous for developing and marketing the VHS standard. It currently manufactures devices for the consumer electronics market in the areas of audio and video such as video projectors, monitors, professional cameras and equipment for live and television production.
